MUSCAT -- The Al Hassan Group recently concluded a very successful participation at the ninth edition of Oil and Gas West Asia (OGWA), held under the auspices of the Ministry of Oil and Gas and inaugurated by Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry. This has been Omanexpo's largest edition so far. All the three Strategic Business Units (SBUs) of the Group i:e Contracting, Manufacturing and Trading were represented during the three day expo that was held at the Oman Exhibition Centre. Dr Sunaidy visited Al Hassan's pavilion and spent quality time with Hassan bin Ali Salman, Chairman, Ali Maqbool, Director, and Abbas Jamal -- CEO, Al Hassan's Manufacturing& Trading division.
Hassan bin Ali Salman, Chairman of Al Hassan Group said, "Our association with OGWA has strengthened as the exhibition continues to be a key platform for us to showcase our capabilities to some of the region's oil and gas majors. We are particularly happy with the enthusiastic response to our participation this year. Recent studies indicate that Oman is well poised to become a major centre for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and this year's event held conferences to discuss how to capitalise on the growing opportunities that have fuelled the need for increased large-scale investments in Oman's oil & gas sector. Therefore besides enhancing our own visibility, the event has been a relevant opportunity for us to gain insights into the best practices of the industry, the market trends, knowledge transfer as well as business networking."
The Contracting SBU -- Al Hassan Engineering Co SAOG (AHEC) showcased its complete solutions in EPC/construction services in Oil & Gas (mid stream and downstream), Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Civil Infrastructure, Water & Wastewater sectors along with its award winning projects like: Barka 3 IPP, Amal HRSG, Nimr-C, Salalah Methanol, Sohar Aluminium etc besides some of its key ongoing projects in Oman and Abu Dhabi. AHEC focuses on selected core regions, where the company has built up a high level of regional and technological expertise. The Trading SBU Cos were represented by Al Hassan Electricals Co LLC and Hi-Tech Services & Supplies LLC.
