Muscat - Al Hassan Engineering Co (AHEC) has announced the appointment of Dr Fahd Bakour as its new CEO, effective January 12, 2014.
Dr Bakour obtained his PhD in engineering management from the University of Atlanta, US, and MS in construction management from the University of Birmingham, UK. He brings to Al Hassan Engineering over 25 years of professional managerial experience in the contracting sector, working in different countries. Most recently, he served as executive director of a leading EPC group based in UAE.
Dr Bakour will look to continue Al Hassan Engineering's considerable success by bringing the same strategic acuity and innovative mindset he has used to foster success in the past, a press release said.
The company management expressed gratitude to Peter Hall, the former chief executive, for his contribution towards the growth of the company. Hall in addition to the smooth transition of responsibilities to the new CEO will be working as adviser to the managing director.
