Baltic Sea region will soon be closer for Jordanians with the announcement of a new direct airBaltic flight from Amman to the Latvian capital Riga.

During a gala dinner held at Bristol Hotel Amman on June 2, Chairman of the Board of Directors of airBaltic, Mr Bassam Al-Zaben, announced the launch of airBaltic's twice-a-week flights between Amman and Riga, mentioning that this significant step is very important to connect the Baltic region with Jordan. "The unique diversity of the Baltic region offers a huge market potential and dynamic business opportunities, besides its attractive tourism sites with long sandy beaches, beautiful landscapes and modern cities," he said in his welcoming speech.

The attendees enjoyed a documentary that depicts the many places, adventures, culture and heritage the area offers to its visitors.
