Muscat - Ahlibank has announced the appointment of Dur Mohammed al Balushi as the bank's new assistant general manager - head of IT.
A versatile, detail-oriented and results-driven IT professional, Balushi joins the bank with more than 23 years of experience working in the banking sector in Oman and abroad. Balushi has a postgraduate diploma in project analysis & management from the Netherlands, and has completed his master's in information technology management from Australia, a bank press release said on Saturday
"We are very pleased to announce that Dur Mohammed al Balushi has joined the bank's senior management team," said Ahlibank's chief executive officer, Lloyd Maddock. "We are certain he will be a great addition to the team, and will help us build on the momentum that we have established in the IT department. I am confident that he will be invaluable as we continue to execute our strategic growth plans and leverage our unique technologies to positively impact banking in the sultanate."
Maddock added, "Balushi takes over from Ganapati Baadkar who is retiring. On behalf of the team at Ahlibank I thank him for his excellent contribution to Ahlibank and wish him the very best for the future."
