Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Operations (Adco) will invite at least five shortlisted companies next month to submit bids for the first phase of its SAS project, which aims to boost crude output at three major onshore fields.

The tender documents will be released one month behind schedule in early October, and Adco is expected to move quickly to select a contractor for what will eventually be a $3 billion project to boost the emirate's output capacity by 60,000 barrels per day.
