MUSCAT -- The opportunities presented by a career in accountancy or finance will be outlined in an event organised by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and sponsored by leading tuition providers in Muscat tonight, June 24. The information session, which will focus on the ACCA Qualification, which is globally recognised and is equivalent to a UK Master's degree, will take place in Haffa House Hotel Muscat from 7pm to 8pm.

The event is sponsored by the College of Banking and Financial Studies, the National Training Institute and the Polyglot Institute, all of which are ACCA Approved Learning Providers. Mohammed Sajid Khan, Head of Business Development - Education for ACCA Middle East, will be outlining the opportunities for those who study and qualify with ACCA, at the event.

He said: "A great many more people are considering a career in finance and accountancy as they see how this region has the potential to become a leading global financial centre. Our event is intended to explain the opportunities which are available to both school and college graduates and those who may be considering a change in career. ACCA members work in all sectors and at the highest level, both here in Oman and around the world, and we are looking to ensure that potential students are aware of the opportunities which await them in a career in accountancy."
