Abu Dhabi, Nov. 11, 2007 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi will participate in this year's World Travel Market (WTM 2007), the world's premier travel and tourism show being held in London from November 12 to 15, 2007. Through the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and its key industry partners from government and private sectors, Abu Dhabi will be making its largest ever presence in the 28th edition of the annual event.
This year's participation comes at a time when Abu Dhabi is witnessing an unprecedented boom in the tourism, real estate and investment sectors with the announcement of a number of major mega tourism projects by the Abu Dhabi public and private sectors, which reflect the government's determination to judiciously tap the tourism industry for maximum benefit. About 47,264 exhibitors from 202 countries will be showcasing their products and services at this year's WTM, including the UAE, which is participating with 200 exhibitors, representing 71 national institutions, hotels and companies from Abu Dhabi's tourism sector under a 610 square-metre national pavilion. Spearheaded by ADTA, the Abu Dhabi Pavilion, ME 1000, will encompass five corporate corners for some of Abu Dhabi's dominant travel and tourism-related organisations including Abu Dhabi Airport Company, Abu Dhabi National Hotels, Al Dar, Danat Hotels and Resorts and Emirates Palace Hotel. The pavilion's Exhibitor zone will include twenty-four booths for the emirate's leading travel trade industry exhibitors, including those making their first appearance at the show, who will join forces with the ADTA to promote Abu Dhabi to the world as a world-class destination in the region for up-market business, convention and leisure tourism. The exhibitors list comprises hotel chains, travel agents, tour operators, attractions, tourism projects and event organisers who will have great opportunity to promote their products and services to a variety of trade professionals and decision makers during the showAbu Dhabi showcases mega tourism projects in WTM
