Abu Dhabi, Jun. 20, 2007 (WAM) -- Interior Minister, Lt. GeneralSheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has issued a ministerial decree dealingwith the reorganising of the strategic and quality activities at the AbuDhabi Police Headquarters.

Decree no. 312 of 2007 calls for the establishment of a new organisationalunit, to be known as the Strategy and Performance Development Division,which shall be under the direct control of the General Commander of theAbu Dhabi Police Headquarters.

The new division, shall, among other things, work to improve the standardof performance, prepare strategic plans for the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters,follow-up the latter's modernisation process and come up with the principlesand standards which all the various divisions must comply with in thepreparing of their own strategic plans. The new division shall also follow-upthe implementation of the strategic plans, identify obstacles, see tothe implementation of the various organisational structures and developall systems in use at the headquarters.
