LIMA, 1st May, 2014 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has discussed with Prime Minster of Peru Rene Cornejo, ways of enhancing bilateral ties between the two friendly countries, in the capital Lima.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed conveyed regards of Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, to the Peruvian prime minister, who in turn reciprocated his warm greetings for the U.A.E. leaders and his best wishes for further progress and prosperity for the U.A.E. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah praised the ties between the U.A.E. and Peru and the sincere keenness of leaderships in both countries to further develop them. For his part, the Peruvian prime minister welcomed H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, expressing the hopes that his visit would contribute to bolstering ties between the friendly countries and supporting avenues of joint cooperation, particularly in areas of investment and energy, for the benefit and interest of the two friendly peoples. During the meeting, the two sides explored appropriate means of consolidating bilateral ties and opening up of new prospectsof joint action. They also discussed the possibility of creating new partnership opportunities in various sectors. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and the Peruvian prime minister also exchanged views and consultation on a variety of topics of mutual concern in addition to latest regional and international developments.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2014.
