ABU DHABI, May 7th, 2013 (WAM) -- Acclaimed Italian pianist and composer, Cesare Picco dazzled the audience in the capital with his astounding repertoire at last night?s ?Piano Calling? concert held at the Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi auditorium.
Held under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the 500-strong audience featured several dignitaries, including the Director General of ADEC, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, the Italian and American ambassadors, and representatives of the French Embassy. The fans of classical music immensely enjoyed Picco?s unique musical compositions and vibrant improvisations that validated his flair with the piano.The solo performance took the audience on a sublime melodious journey from classical to contemporary, dynamically shifting across genres and cultures, leaving them with a strong impression of Cesare Picco?s exceptional talent and creativity.
The concert attendees witnessed Picco?s remarkable technique of playing live improvisations that elevated the art of experimental piano renditions and reinforced its excellence on an international level. The evening?s fusion of Eastern and Western themes and Picco?s infectious rhythms until the end imparted a sense of liveliness and joy. Prof. Eric Fouache, Vice-Chancellor of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi said, "Tonight we experienced how music transcends borders and cultures through Picco?s inventive and inspiring musical expressions.
