KUWAIT, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- A number of 200 trade violations were registered during February 23-26, revealed head of Hawalli area's commercial monitoring center Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi on Wednesday.

Al-Mutairi told KUNA that the center, part of the Ministry of Commerce, issued violations against those who abused article 10/79 concerning the artificial increase of prices.

The official added that teams, consisting of 12 men and two women, were on duty in the commercial areas in Hawalli governorate.

All shops, restaurants, and commercial centers which increased prices in an illegal manner were included in the list of violators, stated the official.

Al-Mutairi said that violations were also issued against merchants selling consumer hazardous products such as foam sprays which misused by people during celebrations of the National and Liberation Days.

Al-Mutairi called on citizens and expatriates to report any violations and commercial fraud to the center to take the proper procedures.
