MUSCAT -- Majan Shopping Exhibition 2010, a 10-day consumer exhibition, received good response as a large number of customers visited the shopping extravaganza on the opening day. The exhibition opened yesterday at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition is represented by more than 18 countries such as Oman, Syria, Egypt, China, Thailand, India, Turkey, Pakistan, Africa, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Iran, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bangladesh and Vietnam. The stalls put up by them are offering the best choices at the best prices of the season.
The exhibitors are offering large range of products from readymade garments, furnishing products, kids wear, furniture, spices and eatables that have real taste of Arabia.
Commenting on the exhibition on the opening day, Fouziya al Harrasi, organiser of event said: "More than 400 exhibitors are showcasing trendy designs of clothing and accessories from across the globe.
The stalls showcasing gift items, fancy jewellery and cosmetics, handicrafts, children's dresses, toys, artificial plants and flowers, handbags, leather products, crockery and kitchenware, furniture and decorative items are big crowd pullers."
"More and more visitors are expected as the exhibition progresses, to take maximum advantage of the exhibition, which is offering day-to-day products under one roof at a very reasonable price," she said.
Rafeeq Ramadhan al Balushi, a shopper visiting the exhibition termed it to be the great shopping extravaganza that is offering variety of goods under one roof. He was very happy to see the Magic doors from Turkey offered by Majan Global enterprises, who are offering something new to the market.
For those looking to do something special this summer, they have plenty of opportunities as the exhibition has variety of products that will suit every visitor, said Samiya Hamood.
The shopping hours are from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4.30 pm to 10 pm from Saturday to Thursday. On Friday the exhibition will open in the afternoon and it is from 4.30 pm to 10 pm. In order to ensure women feel comfortable and free to shop, the morning of August 3 is reserved exclusively for ladies.
