Abdullah Al Nuaimi: "MoID" and "Zayed Housing" are aiming to combine smart technology and sustainable standards into the construction of residential complexes

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif AlNuaimi, Minister, Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, emphasized that both the Ministry and Zayed Housing Programme are moving in line with the policy of combining smart technology and sustainable standards in the construction of public housing complexes, reflecting the support of the overall vision of the United Arab Emirates.

His Excellency pointed out that building future cities having state-of-the-art facilities, buildings, renewable energy generation and environmental preservation solutions, would make the future of societies more developed, civilized and sustainable, leading to economic growth based on a solid foundation that takes into account every dimension, foremost among is the happiness of society members.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif AlNuaimi, Minister, Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program and Mr. Brad Hariharan, Regional Director, Expotrade Middle East, have signed a partnership agreement for the upcoming edition of the summit, in the presence of His Excellency Gerard Seeber, Consul General and Senior Trade Commissioner, Australian Consulate General. The two-day summit will be held on 30-31 October 2017 in Dubai at Sofitel, The Palm Resort & Spa.

On the sidelines of signing the agreement, His Excellency stated that UAE hosting the 2017 Arab Future Cities Summit reflects the country's high standing and lead role in the infrastructure and housing sector at the regional and global levels, and the substantial support that these sectors receive from the far-sighted leadership of the UAE.

Also His Excellency stressed that Arab Future Cities Summit is a global platform to meet the major companies and institutions involved in the development of advanced infrastructure from all over of the world, as well as major investors and entrepreneurs and creative thinkers that contribute to shaping the future cities of the technological, environmental, economic and other fields Relevant.

His Excellency stated that the Ministry of Infrastructure Development along with the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme during the summit will focus on the strategic development plans and smart city roadmap. As UAE is at the forefront of smart city development in the Middle East region with several innovation-based and citizen-oriented smart city projects across sectors.
