Bahrain's Venture Capital Bank is to develop a dhs1.5 billion resort on  Nakheel's 'The World'.  VC Bank will invest in and develop an island located in the northern Asia area of the archipelago of 300 islands, the company said in a statement yesterday.

The resort will feature 113 villas and be operated by "a world-renowned boutique hotel operator", it added.
