Algerian Energy Minister Chakib Khelil and Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Secretary-General Leonid Bokhanovski met in Algiers on Sunday (April 11th) to discuss preparations for the 10th GECF meeting, slated for April 19th in Oran. Ministers from GECF member countries Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela and host Algeria will attend the event next week.

In related news, Algerian state energy company Sonatrach on Sunday (April 11th) announced new hydrocarbon deposits in the Illizi basin, This bring to five the number of discoveries made just this year, El Moudjahid reported.
