New secure facility is part of the Bank's expansion strategy and ensures it maintains the best possible services for customers

Kuwait - 21 June 2011: Gulf Bank recently inaugurated its new IT Data Center Facility, located in Hawally. The inauguration was attended by Gulf Bank's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Michel Accad along with a number of senior executives and members from the Bank's IT team.

Expressing his views about Gulf Bank's latest achievement, Michel Accad said: "Opening Gulf Bank's IT Data Center facility is in line with our business strategy within Kuwait to continually seek improvements in quality and turnaround times and ensure convenience and security for our customers.

The Bank's IT team was asked to ensure that this facility was developed with the most up-to -date available technology.  This they have delivered and I am pleased that their efforts and guidance will help us to maintain Gulf Bank's world class reputation for fast and secure banking."

Husain Mairza, Chief Information Officer and Deputy General Manager at Gulf Bank said: "Our new facility promises to make optimum use of the latest technologies which will result in significant performance improvements and enhance our Bank's ability to recover from any potential risks. The set-up and migration from the old facility was concluded with minimal business disruption and involved coordination across all departments within the Bank, as well as with our partners and vendors."

Gulf Bank's IT Data Center facility is a vital part of the Bank's information technology infrastructure. The facility will provide a secure, bank-wide, and world-class infrastructure for customers' transactions and data, and it will ensure business continuity at all times.
