Kuwaiti youth remain a developmental focus for Zain

Kuwait - 09 February, 2015: Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced the continuation of its community partnership with Qout Market taking place in February, which also coincides with the country's National Day celebrations. The market is considered Kuwait's largest artisanal farmers gathering, and looks to support local food producers and craftsmen in showcasing their products to the public.

Zain's partnership with this unique initiative is in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability outlook, which is focused on encouraging local talent to have an outlet to success and ultimately contribute to the development of national economy.

Qout Market is distinguished from other youth gatherings in the high standards of the products and services offered by participants, as it is the first and only community-based farmers' market to support local farmers and artisans in Kuwait. Visitors can find locally produced food products and handicrafts with the view to encouraging people to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Zain's participation in Qout Market included the arrangement of many national-themed activities, with the event being held in an atmosphere of patriotism and family-oriented fun in the presence of large numbers of visitors.

Zain remains dedicated to supporting events that showcase the talents of young people in Kuwait, and encouraging outstanding projects and ideas. This is one of the main reasons why the company recently launched the third edition of the Zain Great Idea program, which aims at investing in the creative abilities of young Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, preparing them to engage in the business world through the nurturing of innovation within their businesses.
