MUSCAT: The Wave, Muscat has selected four students out of a pool of more than 400 talented Omani high school graduates as part of the 40/40 Scholarship Fund in partnership with The British Scholarships for Oman (BSO) and the National Hospitality Institute (NHI).
As a tribute to the Sultanate's 40th National Day, the initiative aims to build a legacy for world-class hospitality training and employment opportunities in Oman.
The nation's first such initiative will award four scholarships, each of which will consist of an 18-month diploma in Hospitality Management at NHI complemented by a 6-month internship at the Kempinski, Mall of the Emirates Hotel in Dubai.
After successful completion of both the academic and on-the-job training programme, students will be granted job opportunity at prestigious establishments.
Abdulla Al Shidi, deputy CEO of The Wave, Muscat stated, "Our strategic partnership with BSO and NHI underscores our support of private educational institutions and their various training platforms."
