MUSCAT -- The Wave, Muscat and Asha Enterprises LLC (Ajit Khimji Group) have announced plans for a new flagship WHSmith store as part of the first retail precinct in the iconic development in Muscat, Oman. Located in the Al Marsa Marina Village, this will be the fifth WHSmith bookstore in Muscat after the recent opening of new stores in Muscat International Airport and one in Jawaharat al Shatti.

The new WHSmith store is due to open early in March 2011 and covers 164 square metres of prime retail space with its popular collection of books, magazines, toys, confectionery and novelties that will provide an essential service to the residents of The Wave, Muscat. WHSmith is recognised as one of the most popular chain of retail outlets in the UK, has over 1,000 outlets in 565 high street stores and 490 locations and sells 1.5 million magazines every week and over 50 million books a year.
