Abu Dhabi, 06 June 2015

ProVita International Medical Center, the UAE's first long-term ventilated care center, has appointed renowned pediatric doctor Dr. Michael Kelley, as Chief Medical Officer.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kelley has enhanced his reputation as one of the top pediatric doctors in the region at Zayed Military Hospital, where as Consultant Physician, he provided primary care to the UAE military and their families.

At ProVita, Dr. Kelley will be responsible for delivering world-class care to residents who depend on artificial ventilation, typically because of accidents, strokes, or birth conditions. Many are children who were previously either being treated abroad, or occupying scarce intensive care unit (ICU) beds in UAE hospitals.

''It is the high caliber of physicians and nurses that sets ProVita apart and allows us to deliver truly world class care to our residents," said Michael Davis, Chief Executive Officer of ProVita.

"The addition of Dr Michael Kelley to our team is testament to ProVita's commitment to excellence.  He brings a wealth of specialist pediatrics expertise and will bring great insight through his experience of working in top medical facilities in the United States and the UAE."

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr Michael Kelley will also be responsible for the professional development of ProVita's medical staff. He brings significant teaching experience from his time at Zayed Military Hospital, the University of Louisville School of Medicine and the Third World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education.
