Lookup.ae, a real estate information and connector portal based in Dubai, UAE has announced it has secured Series A funding from a private UAE based Technology Investor. The terms of the investment are not being disclosed.

Lookup.ae connects its users to over 400,000 pages of real estate data, news, analysis, transaction data, companies and professionals in Dubai. The service is utilized by investors, home-owners, market observers and real estate professionals.

Unlike research published by other firms which is periodical, Lookup.ae is free to use and live. There are over 25 different applications that users can utilize to get insight on the local real estate market.

"We're competing in an industry with a lot of established, major players - but we've taken a different route. There are over twenty real estate portals in Dubai, but instead of duplicating, we are innovating. We've created a product that isn't necessarily easy to do, but through graft and applying technology - we think we're on our way to creating an incredible market connector which has and will continue to deliver more value to all stakeholders of real estate in the UAE. It's been grueling hard work, but securing this round of investment gives us the freedom to continue innovating." said Gibran Y. Bham, CEO of GAIM FZ LLC, the holding company of http://www.lookup.ae

After going live in April 2014, Lookup.ae did not conduct any large scale marketing campaigns. "Our growth has been phenomenal in the sense that we've never a spent dollar on advertising. It's all organic, social media, word-of-mouth and content driven. We now have thousands of users every day, and since October 2014, our traffic is doubling consistently every six weeks," says Zahra Mukri, Head of Content at Lookup.ae.

"One of the reasons we haven't spent a lot on advertising is a matter of mindset. Since going live, we were intent on innovating and perfecting a product according to the response of our users. Delivering live data on such a dynamic market requires applying technology to make the experience completely seamless. We're not a company that's ever going to say our job is done, there is a culture we are breeding of constant innovation. And our users can feel that," says Munawar Ali, Lookup.ae's CTO and technology architect.

Lookup.ae now employs a small of team of dedicated researchers and technology developers. Its latest product offerings include the ability for estate agents to utilize the platform to connect better, described as a LinkedIn for real estate in Dubai. Members of Lookup.ae are also able to view current and historic transaction data from the Dubai Land Department for free.

Lookup.ae is available to access at http://www.lookup.ae. The service is free to use.
