RIYADH: The development committee of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) will organize a lecture on the SMEs at RCCI on April 8.
Khalid Al-Yahya will present the lecture that will feature obstacles and prospects of the SMEs, and their track record and new trends at local and international levels.
Al-Yahya is an expert on development and management strategy, associate professor at Harvard University and head of management and governance at the US-based Arizona University and Dubai College of Management (DCM).
The lecture will touch on forms of the SMEs from international and regional perspectives and reasons why countries are interested in the SMEs and how to activate their role within economy.
Meanwhile, head of the SMEs committee at RCCI Khalaf Al-Shammari said the lecture comes as part of the committee's efforts to acquaint business sector on the importance of the SME, its prospects and obstacles at both regional and international levels.
In this context, the committee had organized a series of lectures and signed deals with bodies interested in the SME such as Saudi Accounting Society (SAS), Saudi Management Society (SMS), Saudi Economy Society (SES) and Saudi Arabian Standard Organization (SASO), he said.
