QFC Strengthens Qatari Leadership

Doha, Qatar, 26 August 2015

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Hamed Al-Saadi in the position of Chief Financial & Tax Officer. In this capacity he will also sit on the Executive Committee (ExCo) of the QFC Authority.

In his role, Mr Al-Saadi will report directly to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the QFC, from financial planning through to execution of the QFC's financial activities, while adhering to the QFC's values of transparency, efficiency and integrity.

Yousuf Al-Jaida, Chief Executive Officer, QFC, said: "We are pleased to welcome Mr Al-Saadi as the newest addition to the QFC family. His many years of experience are a great asset to our organisation and we look forward to working with him to further secure the QFC as a leading financial centre worldwide. Mr Al-Saadi has 15 years of experience in accounting and financial management. He holds a   Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Qatar University, and an Executive MBA from the University of Plymouth, UK.

Before being appointed Chief Financial & Tax Officer of the QFC, Mr. Al-Saadi held a number of high profile appointments at RasGas, including General Accounting Manager. He has specific expertise in audit, project management and executive leadership.
