DOHA: Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) recently inaugurated its representative office in Melbourne, Australia.

The inauguration was attended by senior Australian governmental dignitaries along with great number of customers and businessmen.

In pursuit of its objective to be recognised as one of leading international petrochemical suppliers, Qapco has structured one of the most competent Global Marketing Network ever established by any Petrochemical supplier to complement and support Qapco's ambitious expansion plans.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Qapco Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Yousef Al Mulla, said the inauguration of Qapco office in Australia is a continuation of the company's quest to preserve its positioning as the leading exporter of LDPE in the Middle East and to translate the strategic importance of the Australian market to Qapco.

Dr Al Mulla reiterated the importance of the Australian market to Qapco which has been supplying its LDPE products to a number of Australian customers for over 20 years.

Currently Qapco's global marketing network consists of 28 overseas self operated offices and 6 regional warehouses.

Dr Al Mulla said that Qapco is striving to consolidate its global marketing network by opening additional self operated offices and regional warehouses in different parts of the world.
