In Preparation for Construction Work on New Airport Terminal
With progress already underway on the modernization plans for Bahrain International Airport (BIA), Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) - the managing body of BIA, would like to inform all passengers of the temporary planned closure of BIA's Car Park "D" from 8 February 2016 until 20 February 2016, in line with ongoing construction works for the new airport terminal.
Due to the expected heavy traffic, BAC would like to advise all traveling passengers to arrive early to the Airport to avoid any related delays.
BAC is working closely with its facility management arm, BAC Facility Management (BAC FM) in addition to key BIA stakeholders to ensure minimum disruption is caused to passenger movement and effective alternative parking solutions are put in place. To compensate for the closure of Car Park "D", BAC will provide the "Overflow" car park as an alternative parking solution and will be increasing the provision of shuttle buses and the frequency of pick-ups and drop-offs to maintain speed of service.
