MUSCAT -- Ayman bin Abdullah al Hosani, Deputy Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) met in his office yesterday with Wissam Hassan Fattouh, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Banks (UAB).

The meeting discussed topics related to enhancing co-operation between UAB and OCCI on one hand and the banking and financial sector in the Sultanate on the other hand in a bid to benefit from UAB potentials and expertise in promoting the banking work in the Sultanate.

OCCI Deputy Chairman highlighted the progress being witnessed by the financial and banking sector and the Sultanate's pioneering experience in this sector.

He also affirmed the OCCI keenness and the private banking sector in the Sultanate in benefiting from UAB services and facilities and its rich experiences, as well as co-operation in the field of training and qualification in the banking and investment work.

On his turn, the UAB Secretary General praised the efforts being exerted by the Sultanate in supporting the Arab banking work and assisting it in facing the developments of the current period, as well as supporting its activities in this regard.
