Al Mansoori: Khalifa Fund continues its efforts to enhance the SMEs sector environment

Abu Dhabi: Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development organized the 11th Tawasul Forum in Al Ain on Tuesday. That reflects the Fund's management interest in enhancing the business environment in different regions.

H. E. Ibrahim Ahmed Al Mansoori the Chief Operation Officer in Khalifa Fund said: "The Fund will continue its efforts to create the suitable environment for the growth of SMEs across the country. Where the team is making strenuous efforts to enhance the competitive advantages of these projects and enable acquisition of a share sector business environment in local markets".

"The Fund put forward number of initiatives that will enhance the work environment to encourage entrepreneurs, revealing the intention of the Fund more specific initiatives in this area in the near future", explained Al Mansoori.

"The Fund's efforts in urging the government, semi-government and private entities to give small and medium enterprises certain privileges to contribute to its development and support their success, adding to the success of projects financed by the Fund and its development and progress means the success of plans, programs and strategies of the Fund", added Al Mansoori.

"The Fund's management is keen to communicate with citizens, entrepreneurs and listen to their views and learn about the challenges they face in order to cooperate with them to find optimal solutions for them. The relevant departments of the fund are directed to find permanent communion with entrepreneurs and make every effort to overcome any obstacles they face", said Al Mansoori.

Mohammed Mattar Al Shamsi, Senior Manager in Enterprise Development & Support Department made a presentation to highlight the main support services given to the entrepreneurs. "The success achieved through Khalifa Fund Gateway which become the platform for the supported projects towards local market and to enable them to market and promote their goods and services. As well as, communicating with government, semi-government and national companies to become a place to communicate between all members".

Al Shamsi also mentioned about Hesabaty Initiative, "The Fund nominated number of certified companies to provide accounts services and prepare external audit reports".

Sara Al Ahbabi from Strata made general presentation about the company services, targets and purchasing policies.

Sayed Qahwagi from Abu Dhabi National Hotels made a presentation about the company services and methods of registering in suppliers' book.

Muhannad Al Hashemi from Etihad Airways made a presentation about the services and programs offered to the entrepreneurs. In addition to a presentation done by Khalid Al Romaithi from General Civil Aviation Authority.

The Forum included presentations of three projects in various fields have benefited from the Khalifa Fund Services. At the end of the forum, there was a discussion about the major challenges faced by the members of the Fund and ways to overcome them. As well as, many of the proposals and that, the fund management promised to consider them.

The forum aims to promote communication and interaction among funded and supported projects and to enable the entrepreneurs of building a network of relationships that increase the efficiency of these projects and the promotion of integration between them.
