Dubai - According to a recent survey carried out by Canon Middle East among 1,000 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) throughout the GCC, only one in five organisations in the region have the option to print remotely.
The survey also reveals that SMEs hesitate to invest in solutions with remote printing technology and such facilities are only more common among businesses that have a higher turnover.
The trends not only highlight that the awareness of productivity-enhancing printing facilities from printers is fairly low, it is also a rather glaring reminder of the absence of a proper printing management and infrastructure among organisations.
Remote printing is the technology that enables printers to be accessed over a network through cloud computing. It enables users to print from anywhere, anytime, through any device, any document. All that is needed is a Google account that allows to print from Gmail and Google Docs on a mobile device and from the Google Chrome browser.
