BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Production at state-run Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co., or Orpic, fell 19% to 16.63 million barrels in the first quarter of 2013, from 20.55 million barrels a year earlier, Oman News Agency reported Saturday, citing official data.

Orpic's output of premium gasoline dropped 17% on the year to 4.16 million barrels, the news agency said, quoting a report by the country's National Center for Statistics and Information. Diesel production plunged 24% to 3.19 million barrels, from 4.18 million barrels a year earlier.

Orpic also witnessed a sharp decline in its output of other products such as fuel oil, regular gasoline, jet fuel, liquefied gas, naphtha, and propylene, according to the report.
