Strengthening its core insurance expertise, Oman Insurance Company (OIC) supports its employees to complete the Insurance Certificate course through the renowned Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the world's leading professional training organization for insurance and financial services in the UK. This ensures that staff across the organization, being in sales, IT or administration, reinforce their insurance skills and knowledge.  

As part of its learning and development strategy, Oman Insurance's Human Resource team have put together a unique comprehensive CII training program for its employees. This course includes in-house training sessions with visiting CII experts, online material access and even mock exams, guiding all aspirants throughout the duration.

The training focuses on the first two accreditations: Award in General Insurance and Certificate in Insurance. The General Insurance course is suited to those employees starting their careers in the insurance sector, to develop a basic understanding of insurance principles, procedures and products. The Certificate level offers more in-depth knowledge of underwriting and customer service.

Bhuminder Singh Chauhan, Senior Manager Learning & Development says "This initiative has received an overwhelming response from our employees with more than 150 registrations, and over 100 completed accreditations."
