Oman Air will host JOBEX 2012 to showcase its Omanisation policies and job opportunities. It will also screen and shortlist applicants, a press release said.
Organised by Oman International Trade & Exhibitions (OITE) under the patronage of the Ministry of Manpower, JOBEX 2012 will be held from April 23-25 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. The expo aims to boost employment by attracting key organisations, both from Oman and the Gulf region, to showcase current and future job opportunities in the private and public sectors.
Muntaser Ambusaidi, manager, Omanisation and HR information systems, Oman Air stated in the release, 'The most important pillar for success of the Omanisation strategy is to provide Omanis with proper development and training in their specific fields of work. We strive to increase the Omanisation percentage in our organisation and employ Omani job seekers at different levels.
'We plan to Omanise all ground and ramp services positions in the next three years. There are many talented Omanis in the market who deserve the chance to work in the airline indu-stry, and we provide them with the opportunity to be trained as customer service agents, cargo agents and ramp agents.'
