The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jordan's Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the Invest in Oman 2011 Forum at Shangri-La's Barr al Jissah and Spa on Wednesday.
The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jordan's Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the Invest in Oman 2011 Forum at Shangri-La's Barr al Jissah and Spa on Wednesday.
The MoU was signed from the Omani side by Khalil bin Abdullah al Khonji, OCCI chairman and from the Jordanian side by Riyadh al Saifi, chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The MoU provides for encouraging trade and investment cooperation between the sultanate and Jordan by establishing wider and comprehensive economic relations between the organisations and businessmen in both countries, as well as exchange of information, books and publications that enhance the joint economic work.
The MoU will also encourage the exchange of expertise, technologies and experiences in different economic fields of joint interest, besides promoting the exchange of trade delegations between the two countries.
