The UAE National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has signed today a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rabdan Academy to boost cooperation in crisis and disaster management.
H.E. Saif Mohammed Arahma Al Shamsi, Acting Deputy General Manager of NCEMA and H.E. Dr. Faisal Obaid Al Ayyan, Executive Vice President of Rabdan Academy signed the agreement on the sidelines of IDEX in the presence of senior officials from both companies and the media.
Al Shamsi welcomed the newly agreed collaboration as a means to further improve the UAE's national security and emphasised NCEMA's commitment to support Rabdan to this end. In this regard, Al Shamsi highlighted that, "IDEX 2015 presents a great platform to launch new levels of expertise and knowledge exchange across various sectors and industries between national and international partners which will only provide further benefit to the nation."
Al Ayyan expressed his gratitude for newly agreed collaboration, highlighting the importance of further enhancing cooperation with local entities especially on ways to increase national resilience.
"The purpose of this agreement is to advance cooperation between the two sides in the areas of emergency, crises and disasters management, and will focus on strengthening areas of training and scientific studies and research, and supporting the advancement of national capabilities and expertise," Dr. Al Ayyan said.
