Best performing UAE and GCC companies to be honoured for business excellence at the 8th cycle of the awards organised by Dubai Chamber
Dubai, UAE: Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced that the high profile award presentation ceremony for the 8th cycle of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award 2014, which includes GCC-based companies for the first time, will be held on May 27 at Madinat Jumeirah Arena.
A host of winning organisations across various award categories including Trade, Finance, Manufacturing, Services, Construction, Re-Export, Transport and Logistics will be honoured for their outstanding performance in achieving business excellence at the prestigious event. Since its inception, the award is considered as the highest level of recognition for attaining business excellence.
H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO, Dubai Chamber, said that the award, held annually under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has attracted a large number of GCC companies from various economic sectors and the award ceremony is open to the GCC business community as well as top local and international executives and business excellence leaders.
He said, "This time, the award ceremony will celebrate the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Performance Program's expansion across the GCC by honouring organisations which took part in the yearlong 8th cycle program and outperformed their peers across the region in business excellence."
H.E. The award's Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Performance Program encourages companies to adopt global best practices and improve their performance while allowing them to obtain an organisational learning experience through self-assessment.
