Former Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, has praised Emirates NBD's role in the growth and development of Dubai and the UAE's economy during a special visit to the bank.

Michael Bloomberg, the Founder of Bloomberg L.P., met with Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Emirates NBD's Vice Chairman, as well as the bank's Group CEO, Shayne Nelson. The bank's senior representatives discussed how Emirates NBD's business activities are aligned with various government initiatives that help underpin Dubai and UAE's growth over long term.

They also exchanged views on the future of economic trade, facilitation of business opportunities, and the potential opportunities for Dubai and the UAE in the global economic landscape.

The visit was marked with a tour of the Emirates NBD Pearl Museum which houses one of the largest collections of natural pearls in the world as well as unique collection of coins and currencies.
