Manama - Manara Developments: Manara Developments announced the launch of two new residential projects in Muharraq and the Northern Governorate, providing 136 residential apartments, designed to the latest engineering and construction standards to meet the needs of modern Bahraini families seeking residential housing. The commencement of sales for the units for both projects will be announced shortly.

Managing Director of Manara Developments, Dr. Hasan Al Bastaki said: "Manara had recently commenced the civil works on both 'Wahati' within the 'Wahat Al Muharraq' project, which was launched since 2011 over three phases homing a total of 227 villas of various sizes and designs, in addition to 'Kenaz Al Bahrain' located in the Northern Governorate". Dr. Al Bastaki added: "The projects consist of three and four story buildings designed specifically to suit the needs of modern Bahraini families and particularly aimed to serve beneficiaries of the Ministry of Housing 'social housing' programs of which the company and the Ministry had previously engaged for past projects.

The 'Wahati' project consists of 9 Moroccan design buildings each comprise of four floors with two apartments in each floor while 'Kenaz Al Bahrain' consists of 8 modern design buildings comprising of four floors with two apartments in each floor totaling 136 residential apartment units on both projects alongside a group of facilities designed to achieve economic and social sustainability of which are crucial in modern residential establishments. As for the design features of the apartments, each apartment is at least 140 square meters and consists of three bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, in addition to an open living room, three bathrooms and a maids room, in addition to a car park for the residents, of which were carefully designed to fulfill the needs of modern Bahraini families.

Dr. Al Bastaki added: "20% of 'Kenaz Al Bahrain' has been completed since the commencement of the project almost two months ago, and is expected to complete in an estimated 14 months since the beginning of the project. In parallel, 'Wahati' is expected to progress for approximately two years"

Also to note, both 'Kenaz Al Bahrain' and 'Wahati' are aimed to complement "Manara's" projects directed towards the provision of residential housing units such as the previous establishments in Muharraq and Tubli. The establishment of multistory residential buildings comes with the general trend

to encourage vertical expansion to assimilate with the scarcity of land and thus serving greater populations within the limited space available.

The two projects come within "Manara Development's" ambition to play a leading role in cooperation and partnership with the public and private sector and in line with its commitment to achieving public housing development and the Kingdom's strategies and efforts for national housing support at affordable cost and to meet the needs of modern families thus achieving social stability and sustainability. Moreover, "Manara" was amongst the first to establish joint cooperation with the Ministry of Housing in 2013 to instate itself as a trusted party to meet the Ministry's standards set out to public housing projects aimed to serve the needs of those eligible households. In addition, 58 villas of the 'Wahat Al Muharraq' Project and phase four of 'Tubli Gardens' Villas and some of the villas of phase two of 'Wahat Al Muharraq' were aimed to this purpose, where Al Salam Bank - Bahrain is one of the participating banks offering financing solutions for prospective buyers, in addition the other Ministry endorsed financial institutions participating in this initiative.
