ARBIL: Kurdish minister of natural resources waved to stop oil exports at the end of this month if Baghdad did not pay the amounts of the foreign companies working in the region.

Kurdish minister Ashti Horami said on the governmental electronic site today that the oil exports will last for one month to end on 31 of August instant if Baghdad did not pay the foreign companies their amounts of oil production.

Administrative director of Energy Company wrote a letter to Horami stating that his company was not paid its allocations from 2009 to 2011, which affected the company.

Kurdish region government began pumping oil into the strategic pipeline in mid of 2009 towards Turkish Cyhan port with a capacity of 100.000 b/d, then it was increased to 175.000 b/d in mid of 2011.

Baghdad and Arbil had a crisis for Kurdish stoppage of oil exports, while Deputy Premier Hussein Shahristani announced on the 2nd.

Of April, 2012, that the Kurdish region government deprived Iraq from 6.650 billion dollars for the last years, due to stopping oil exports.
