The "Souq" exhibition has been launched today in Dalma Mall, the exhibition that contains the products of more than 20 projects in retailed sector financed and supported by Khalifa Fund.

The exhibition will run until next Saturday and comes as part of an initiative launched by Khalifa Fund. That aims to open the market for the entrepreneurs through providing a platform for direct sale for the public, which will allow them to market their products locally and to understand their acceptance.

The exhibition contain products of projects funded and supported by the Fund in F&B sector, pasties, sweets, ice-cream, flower arrangement, tourism services as well as information technology sectors.

H. E. Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki, the CEO of Khalifa Fund said, "This exhibition is the first in a series of exhibition the Fund is planning to hold in different shopping centers inside Abu Dhabi and other Emirates. We highly appreciate the quick positive respond and high cooperation we received from the management of Dalma Mall to support the success of the exhibition".

"The Fund will organize a similar exhibition before end of the year in Al Ain; we are planning to copy the idea in different regions. This initiative will enhance the local products in the local market", added Al Darmaki.

"The Fund previously supported the participation of different projects in my local and international exhibitions, which enrich the experiences of the entrepreneurs to improve their services and products. That success encourage the Fund to launch Souq initiative", explained Al Darmaki.

"The Fund's work is not limited for direct funding for the SMEs; it provides different services to assist the entrepreneurs to market their products. The Enterprise Development and Support Department within the Fund provides the counselling and advisory services for the entrepreneurs during the first three years which is usually full or challenges", explained Al Darmaki.

Al Darmaki urges the government entities and the consumers to support the national products for the youth Emiratis supported by Khalifa Fund which will support the growth of country economy.

H. E. Mohamed Al Shabia Al Mazrouei a board member in Dalma Mall said, "Salma Mall is very keen in supporting the national small and medium enterprises supported by Khalifa Fund. The Mall management has a clear strategic plan with regards of supporting SMEs".

"Dalma Mall is one of the largest shopping centers in Abu Dhabi and becoming more popular for different society segments and has very high rate of visitors during the week which will be useful for the entrepreneurs to market their products.  We are also welling to collaborate in the future with Khalifa Fund in their efforts to support national SMEs", added Al Mazrouei.

The participants praised the organization of the exhibition, and they assure that similar exhibition help them in promoting their products and services in the local market.
