Dubai, UAE: Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman, Al Habtoor Group received Hussein H. Tantawi, CEO, NBE (DIFC) Limited at his office on Al Wasl Road on Monday April 18, 2016.
Mr. Tantawi was joined by Tarek M. El-Ghazaly, General Manager of Representative Dubai, UAE, National Bank of Egypt and Hesham Lotfy, GM Foreign Division, National Bank of Egypt. The meeting was also attended by Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Al Habtoor Group and Abdul Salam Al Marzooqi, General Manager, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation.
Al Habtoor and Mr. Tantawi discussed the important role the United Arab Emirates is playing in investing in Egypt to help revive the country's economy. The National Bank of Egypt also briefed the Al Habtoor Group Chairman on their new investment services extending to customers in the UAE.
Al Habtoor said, "I have visited Egypt many times, it is my second home. The stability and prosperity of Egypt is important for the entire region, not just Egypt. The country offers huge potential and is on the right path to recovering, attracting investors from different industries, generating business and job opportunities for local communities. In the long-run this will strengthen the Egyptian economy and key infrastructure, including hotels, hospitals, universities, airports, railways and roads."
In an interview with Al Arabiya TV Channel earlier this year, Al Habtoor revealed that he is considering a large-scale development in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
