THE HAGUE (AFP)--The International Criminal Court Friday invited the all parties, including the United Nations Security Council, to weigh-in on Libyan objections that Moamer Gadhafi's son be tried in The Hague.
In a statement, the world war crimes court invited the ICC prosecutor, the defense team, representatives for victims and the Security Council to submit observations on Libya's challenge by June 4.
Libya has been at loggerheads with the ICC over who has the right to bring former regime figures such as Seif-al Islam and the dead dictator's spymaster, Abdullah Senussi, to justice.
On Tuesday Libya officially asked the world court judges to quash a surrender request and throw out the case.
