Dubai - Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre (HHC) announced that it has been awarded the coveted ISO 9001:2008 certification for meeting global quality standards in thepreservation of national heritage and promotion of national identity in the UAE.The certification underlines HHC'scommitment to adhering to the most rigorous international quality standards, and adds yet another achievement to the Center's track record.

H.E. Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of HHC, received the accredited ISO certificate from the accredited provider TUV InterCert Saar, Germany. The awarding ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials and task force members of the Centre.

Souad Ibrahim Darwish, Director of Championships at HHC, expressed her pride at the Centre's success in meeting all of the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008quality management standard.

Commenting on the certification, Darwish said: "We are delighted to obtain the ISO 9001: 2008 certification, which stands testimony to the high levels of organizational performance and human resourceefficiencydemonstrated by the Center as well as the determination and innovative approach of our management in instituting the appropriate processes and mechanisms to promote heritage preservation and enhance national identity, particularly in light of the diversity of cultures in the UAE.We are committed to maintainingand improvingexisting levels of quality and deliver all that is needed to achieve the goals and objectives of the Centre."

Ahmed Al Shorafaa, Project Manager at Hendawy Group International, the cnsultancy partner of HHC said: "I'd like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the HHC for obtaining the prestigious ISO certification, which marks the culmination of passionate efforts by the Center's management and staff in developing an integrated system that subscribes to the highest international quality standards.The certification underlines the sound mechanism adopted by HHC in achieving planned quality objectives as also its systematic and flexible approach to quality management that allows the Center to constantly improve and enhance existing processes and procedures."

For his part, Ahmed Amin of TUV said: "On behalf of TUV InterCert Saar, I'd like to congratulate HHC for obtaining the ISO 9001:2008 certification.The Center has instituted a rigorous quality management system that fully meets our standards and guidelines, and we wish the organization all the success in its future endeavors."

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the organization promotes worldwide proprietary, industrial and commercial standards,and specifies the necessary quality management system requirements that must be met by services, products, processes, materials, and management and operational systems.

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre sees its achievement of earning the ISO certification as further evidence of its efficiency and leadership in the field of maintaining and disseminating the national heritage of the UAE and engaging all segments of society - locally, regionally and globally - in this process.
