Doha: HSBC's Global and Regional economists, yesterday presented their outlooks to an audience of more than 150 senior businessmen. Latest movements in the global and regional economies, currency trends and predictions for the global macro economy were under discussion.
Detailed presentations from four presenters Stephen King, Group Chief Economist, David Bloom, Global Head of Foreign Exchange Strategy, Simon Williams, Chief Economist, HSBC Middle East and Frederic Neumann, Managing Director, Co-Head of Asian Economics included understanding of the future of the Asian Economy, Change in the Middle East, the prognosis for the Dollar supremacy and the Western Permafrost (The ongoing stagnation of the European economy )vs Eastern Promise. The four were able to weave together the global macro-economic trends, their impact on the global currency markets, and the implications for the GCC economies.
