HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received the Institute of Directors (IOD) Distinguished Fellowship Award 2015, one of the highest accolades by IOD in India.

In the presence of HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Al Tayer received the award at the 'Golden Peacock Awards Ceremony.'

The IOD Distinguished Fellowship Award is presented annually to members for their distinguished service as managers to society or business. "It is my honour to receive the IOD Distinguished Fellowship Award 2015, a prestigious recognition for standards of excellence globally," said Al Tayer.

"In line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021, we are working to establish Dubai as the preferred place to live, work and visit, and define its credentials as a smart and sustainable city, and hub of the global economy. Dubai has come a long way in achieving the vision of the wise leadership and aims to be among the smartest cities in the world in three years," he added.

"I thank His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for his presence at the ceremony as well as the IOD and the organisers of this event for their outstanding efforts," said Al Tayer.
