Minister of State, Director General, Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau & Board Representative of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee, To Offer Guidance to UAE's Generation 2020

Dubai - Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State, Director General, Bureau Dubai Expo 2020, and Board Representative of the Dubai Expo 2020 Higher Committee will deliver the opening keynote address at the 15th annual Careers UAE 2015, running 28-30 April at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Her Excellency will address 150 attendees in a specialised interactive session at the UAE's leading recruitment, training and education exhibition dedicated to UAE nationals, and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The session, which takes place at 12:30pm on 28th April,   will focus on the employment and skills development opportunities being stimulated over the coming years by the UAE's growing economy, Expo 2020 Dubai and the UAE Vision 2021.

Her Excellency will share her own inspirational stories and professional journey, including her experiences as Minister of State and Expo 2020 Dubai - the iconic mega event which will be staged for the first time in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA).

"There is no greater investment to be made, than that we place in our youth. The next generation of leaders are being shaped today, and it is our responsibility to empower and encourage them with knowledge and guidance to ensure they are prepared to be strong custodians of our collective and shared future," said Her Excellency.

"By providing platforms for collaborative discussions, we continue to inspire and engage young UAE nationals to be active contributors to the country's long term vision culture and prosperity." Her Excellency added.

In addition to her central role in the high-profile Expo 2020 Dubai project, Her Excellency is also Chairperson of Dubai Cares, a UAE-based charitable establishment launched in September 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with the aim of improving children's access to primary education in developing nations.

Her Excellency is also Chairperson of Emirates Competitiveness Council, which works together in partnership with public and private entities to endorse policies and undertake actions which will drive the UAE's competitiveness agenda to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity.

With rich experience in international affairs, Her Excellency began her career as Commercial Attaché and, subsequently, as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Washington, D.C., Her Excellency holds B.A. degrees in International Relations and French from Tufts University and a Masters Degree from Harvard University.

More than 160 exhibitors are expected to participate in Careers UAE 2015, including multi-national companies, academic institutions, global industry leading corporations and a number of UAE-based organisations. The 2015 edition is expected to draw more than 18,000 visitors and prospective job applicants, helping to facilitate the successful engagement between public and private sector organisations of all sizes and UAE nationals at all levels of qualification.
