Doha, Qatar - June 9, 2013: HEC Paris in Qatar - the region's leading hub for Executive Education, offering a complete portfolio of management programs including the first ever international Executive MBA (EMBA) in Qatar - is to provide a bespoke management training program for the top 150 executives of King Faisal Hospital in Saudi Arabia.
This program, within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2012 between the two organisations, demonstrates the commitment of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) to invest in its employees and maintain levels of excellence across the board. It is testament to the reputation that HEC Paris in Qatar enjoys beyond its Doha base that it has been chosen to assist KFSHRC in its goal of continuous improvement.
The custom-designed program, entitled 'Keep the Lead', begins in March of this year and concludes in May 2014. Over this period, 90 days of training will take place for three categories of participants: Executive Directors, Medical Chairmen, and Directors. The ultimate goal of the program is to continue to promote the hospital's culture of operational excellence, foster a sense of commitment to the organisation, and achieve high performance.
The program developed by HEC Paris in Qatar is built around three main areas: Leadership, Performance Management, and Strategy. These include two overlapping sub-themes of Change Management, and Decision Making Excellence. The program will include monitoring of the learning via assessment, mentorship and project work. HEC Paris in Qatar will conduct an annual assessment of the KFSHRC leadership culture, and shifts in organizational culture.
The overall purpose of the program is to improve proficiency within each area of the KFSHRC Leadership Competency Model in order to develop leaders who can lead in a competitive and ever-changing environment; to release the best in themselves and others. As leaders within KFSHRC the participants will understand the organizational strategy and be able to communicate it to their teams and lead the implementation of the hospital's strategy.
Key faculty members from HEC Paris, Professors Corey Phelps and Rick Gilkey, have been instrumental in the design of the program, and their input will be felt in the program's delivery.
HEC Paris in Qatar's Chief Operating Officer, Joshua Kobb, commented: "King Faisal Hospital is highly prestigious, and clearly committed to developing leadership within the organization. We are very much looking forward to the commencement of the program, and interacting with executives within the Hospital, helping them adapt to the many changes they now face. This partnership also demonstrates the commitment of HEC Paris in Qatar to building talent not only in Qatar, but also throughout the region."
With close to 13,000 employees (Riyadh and Jeddah), KFSHRC is a leader in healthcare, education and research in the region. Renowned for its centres of excellence in Cancer, Heart, Organ Transplant, Children's Cancer and Research, KFSHRC's commitment to continuous innovation has secured its position as a trusted partner to its clients from around the world.
