Students on the Glion Executive Certificate and Online MBA Programs can now attend Residencies in Dubai
Glion Institute of Higher Education, a prestigious private Swiss institution that is ranked amongst the top three hospitality management schools worldwide, is conducting its highly successful residencies in Dubai in March and April 2015.
The Glion Executive Certificate programs have been developed to help mid-level professionals expand their knowledge and earn qualifications without having to interrupt their careers. Offering flexibility in knowledge and delivery, the program focuses on hospitality business management with specializations in Leadership, Finance and Marketing and can be undertaken 100% online. Each module is delivered over a period of 8 weeks, for a total duration of 24 weeks to earn the Executive Certificate. Alternatively, students can attend face-to-face intensive residencies that take place over four days at global locations including the Glion London campus and now in Dubai followed by 4 weeks online to complete particular modules. This allows students to earn their degrees faster.
Students are also able to transfer the credits from the Executive Certificate into the online MBA Program if they later choose to earn the full degree. The Online MBA offered by Glion is the worlds first 100% online accredited MBA with a focus on Hospitality Management. Since its launch in 2010 it has shown huge success with mid-to-high level professionals in the region with 11% of professionals enrolled in the program residing in the Middle East.
We had first launched these residences at our campus in London to resounding success. As the online programs are very popular with professionals in the Middle East region, bringing the residences to Dubai would be of great benefit to our students, says Mary Farmer, Director of Glion Online Programs. The uptake for the Dubai residencies has been fantastic and we are certain it will add another dimension to their Glion education experience.
Students who chose the online path do so due to its flexibility and their time restrictions and these residencies offer them the chance to meet faculty as well as staff members and to interact with their peers. It offers them the opportunity to address questions directly, work in groups, share their experiences and gain a stronger understanding of the concepts being discussed.
