Dubai-UAE: 22nd January 2015: Renault recorded a strong sales performance in the GCC and the Levant in 2014 selling 23,626 vehicles; a 44% increase compared with 2013. The French company is also exceeding overall market performance which is approximately 8% in the GCC and 4.3% in the Levant.

Speaking about the 2014 results, Hakim BOUTEHRA - Renault Middle East Director - declared: "The soaring success of Renault in the region is the result of better awareness and desirability of the brand. Major investments have been made through our dealership network to enhance the  region's coverage and get closer to our valuable customers. Additionally, as a smart-buy, the Duster continues to be an engine of growth in the Region, with customers looking for the best value for money in the market".

  • In the United Arab Emirates, sales were up in Dubai by 39% and up in Abu Dhabi by 4%, compared to the overall market up by 6.9% in Dubai and by 5.3% in Abu Dhabi.

  • KSA, a priority market, saw a remarkable performance of 63% in a market up by 11.8%.

  • Renault's mainstay, the Duster and Fluence, remain the best-selling European models in KSA and also in the U.A.E

  • In Qatar, Renault's sales saw a 10% increase in a market up by 8.1%

  • Kuwait exceeded expectations with 65% in a market up by 2.4%

  • Lebanon and Jordan both recorded an 8% sales increase above that of their market, 6.7% in Lebanon and -0.9% in Jordan.

All these significant increases make Renault one of the fastest-growing European brands in the region.
