· Designed to help students and professionals build a career in RA certification

· 12-week programme will be also available online

Dubai – UAE - Dubai Pharmacy College in collaboration with Professionals Regulatory Affairs (PRA) has launched the ‘Professional Regulatory Affairs Certificate Course,’ designed to help students and industry professionals build a successful career in pharmaceutical regulation and allied sectors.

The course will commence from the 8th of September 2017 and classes will be held at the Dubai Pharmacy College from 8 A.M. to 12 noon on all Fridays for the next 12 weeks. The course is conducted twice a year and starting this year, it will be available online too.

Prof. Dr. Saeed Khan, Dean at Dubai Pharmacy College said the certificate course has gained recognition among aspiring professionals as a unique opportunity to develop up-to-date knowledge of regulatory affairs (RA) processes and legislation, especially in the UAE and the GCC region.

“The ‘Professional Regulatory Affairs Certificate Course’ has received tremendous response from professionals and we have now decided to run an online programme too. The projected growth and rising competition in the region’s healthcare calls for world-class processes and professionals who can consistently elevate standards in every domain of health and well-being,” Dr. Khan said.

The course modules are so designed and structured to give attendees an overview of the industry and also to help them acquire expertise in best compliance practices and related documentation. By the end of the programme participants will have a better understanding of the important regulatory concepts, and RA documentation and processes.

Dr Najiba Al Shezawy, General Manager of Professionals Regulatory Affairs, said those who complete the course will have a clear understanding of the history and evolution of the RA profession and their expected role as RA professionals in the region. They will also learn about the stages and processes as well as the players involved in the life cycle of a product.

“The objective of the course is to develop competent, confident and consummate RA professionals and also enable them continue their learning and development. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from regulatory affairs experts in the region and gain a competitive edge while applying for RA-related positions in the public or private sectors,” said Dr Al Shezawy.

 “The Certificate is a significant advantage in view of the growing demand for RA professionals among pharmaceutical companies and consultancies, manufacturers of medical devices, veterinary products and cosmetics, and regulators” said Dr. Mona Al Moussli, CEO of Professionals Regulatory Affairs.

Altogether there will be 12 modules in the course, with one or two modules delivered every week. Participants will be evaluated based on module assignments and those who successfully complete the course will receive certificates issued by the Dubai Pharmacy College.
