Dubai -  Emirates Post Group has launched a multi-channel campaign to ensure timely renewal of P.O. Boxes by subscribers. The campaign urges P.O. Box holders to complete their renewals for 2016 well before January 31, to avoid late renewal penalties.

Besides print media, EPG is actively using social media channels -- including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram -- to spread awareness about the need for timely renewal and the required procedures.

P.O. Boxes can be renewed at all post offices, postal agencies and through the EPG website using credit card.  Those renewing at post offices are required to produce their valid National ID card at the time of renewal.

Subscribers who renew after the due date of January 31, 2016, will be charged a fine for late renewal. Those renewing the P.O. boxes after February 28, 2016, will be allowed to renew only after paying the fines, provided the mailbox has not been transferred to another subscriber.

Acting CEO Mr. Fahad Al Hosani commented: "We advise all our customers to renew their P.O. Box subscriptions well before the deadline, in order to avoid last-minute rush as well as to enable them to collect and produce additional documents, if required. We have provided multiple channels for the convenience of customers, including a user-friendly online renewal facility through our website."

EPG Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam said: "We are pleased to offer our customers multiple options to renew their P.O. Boxes. We particularly urge subscribers to use the online renewal facility since it is available 24 hours and saves everybody's time and effort. Subscribers should also note that it is always better to renew well before the due date, in case they need to submit updated documents or ID."

Emirates Post has introduced many value-added options for individual and corporate customers. There are options to upgrade their P.O. Boxes as well. Among the different P.O. Box bundles, the 'My Home' service, which allows residents of villas to have a personal mail-box installed on the compound wall, is available in selected locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi city. This service allows doorstep mail delivery.

Detailed information on the P.O. Box bundles as well as on how to renew the subscription is available on the Emirates Post Group website: www.epg.gov.ae.
