· Customers can execute Dubai Land Department payment transactions online with smart options as well as through bank branches, ATMs and CDMs

Dubai: Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, announced that it has signed an agreement with Dubai Land Department (DLD), to enable UAE residents to make payments for DLD transactions via an innovative new smart payment platform.

Under this agreement, Emirates Islamic - in collaboration with Network Intelligent Payment Solutions - will develop a comprehensive payments platform, which will allow Dubai Land Department customers to pay fees and process their payments via Emirates Islamic's branches in the UAE, in addition to the bank's ATMs, online banking and other payment channels. The customised solution has been developed to meet the specific requirements of the department's customers, to minimise waiting and processing time and increase overall efficiency.

Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director General, Dubai Land Department, said: "Our partnership with Emirates Islamic will not only help us to raise the level of customer satisfaction, it will also guarantee more convenience in all the services we provide. Moreover, this is another step for us to focus our efforts towards transforming all our services to 'smart transactions', in line with the Dubai Smart City initiative, as per the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Our customers will be able to take advantage of the smart payment systems to process their payments anytime, anywhere, without having to visit the DLD offices.

"This move is consistent with the 'Dubai Plan 2021', in support of Dubai's transformation into the world's smartest city through the development of smart services that people can use for their personal and professional requirements."
